EOT CRANE

STRUCTURE
The bridge will consist of two main girders of plate/box type welded and bolted construction. Suitable rail will be provided. A chequered plate will be provided full length of one side of the bridge. The platforms will have hand railling of approximately a meter high with a top rail, intermediate rail and toe guard. Substantial steel and stop will be provided at each end of the crane bridge securely attached the main girder.

END CARRIAGES
The end carriage will be bolted and welded type of fabricated steel construction using rolled section and or plates. Rubber buffer will be provided at the four corners.

CRAB
The crab frame will be of fabricated steel construction, welded and bolted with hoisting and cross travel motor, brakes, Gearbox, drums, electricals etc. Mounted on it. The rope drum will be machine cut Grooves and mounted on antifriction bearings. Rubber buffers will be provided at the four corners.

WELDING
Welding will be in accordances with IS:816-1956 and would eminently suitable for the duty required. Welding would be by hand electric arc. Our design would ensure avoidance of welding at critical points and all welds would be under low stress.

WHEELS
The wheels for end carriage and crab Wheels will be of carbon steel En 9 hardened and tempered double flanged running on antifriction bearings.

GEARING
The gears and pinion shall be made of carbon/alloy steel. They are mounted on steel shafts,  running on ball bearings. The gear box will be of cast iron/fabricated steel construction with oil bath lubrication. Input pinion shall be EN 24, hardened & tempered and other gears and pinions shall be of EN9.

BRAKES
Unless otherwise described specially E.H.T or Electro magnet brakes of the solenoid release type will be provided for the controlling of different motors. When the current will bring the motions safety and the brake will bring the motions safety and autometically to a rest.

RESISTANCE BOXES
Punched grid stainless steel resistance boxes shall be of 10 minutes rating as per IS:3177.

HOOK BLOCK MAIN HOIST & AUXILIARY HOIST
Hook for the main hoist shall be of c-type of shape and section as indicated in relevant BS/IS Standered. The hook shall be steel forget. The hook shall be of swivelling type with thrust bearings. The block shall be of fabricated construction. Rope pulley will be of fabricated steel works of carbon steel, with rope grooves accurately machined. The pulley will be providded  with the plain bearings and have suitable rope guards.

PULLEY FITTED ON CRAB
In case of the number of falls of rope being more than two, pulley shall be fitted on crab frame also. The pulley will be fabricated steel work of carbon steel. It will have rope grooves accrately machined.
